LandFund Partners Purchases 1,660 Acres of Farmland for Private Investor
Nashville, TN – January 4, 2017 – LandFund Partners has successfully acquired approximately 1,660 acres of high-quality irrigated farmland in eastern Arkansas for a private institutional investor. The transaction brings the firm’s acres under management to 24,000, and it is the first deal closed on the recently launched Direct Investment Platform, which provides institutional investors direct ownership of row crop farmland.
“We believe our team’s ability to identify and acquire high-quality, irrigated farms at a good price will lead to strong returns for our investors,” said John Farris, Founder & President. “We are pleased to work with our first direct investment client to help them diversify their existing real asset portfolio.”
The farm is highly improved with over 1,400 irrigated acres, 1,300 of which are precision leveled. Versatile soils on the property have produced excellent yields from corn, cotton, soybeans, and rice in recent years. The farm also has over 100,000 bushels of grain bin storage on site.
LandFund Partners is currently adding to its pipeline of row crop farmland opportunities. “Our deal pipeline is growing with several purchase opportunities for 2017. We look forward to working with more family offices and institutional clients to provide them ownership of high-quality properties. Farmland is a unique investment that provides diversification and inflation hedging opportunities.”
